I agree that the show has benefited from and probably enjoyed the attention that Antonella got, but I wanted to comment on an angle that I don’t think you addressed. I know some people disagree, but I think there is an important distinction between Antonella and the other Idol contestant with nude pictures based on the fact that Antonella’s pictures were done privately (she wasn’t paid) and were released without her permission – while the former idol contestant posed for money and public consumption. Personally, I don’t think either one should have been kicked off for the pics, but if the show has problems with nude photos, it makes sense that they would have a bigger problem with someone who took the pictures for money and with the knowledge that they would be made available to the public.
